Domain Terms

Indonesian domain names use the .ID extension and the .ID domain becomes an internet identity. Registration of an Indonesian domain or .ID domain requires requirements and must follow applicable general provisions and criteria.

.or.id	Organizations, foundations, associations, communities
.sch.id	Educational institutions that provide education such as TK, SD, SMP, SMA/SMK
.ac.id	Indonesian academic/campus institutions
.web.id	-
.my.id	-
.ponpes.id	Islamic boarding school
.biz.id	Business owners who do not have a legal company, online shops, etc.

.id

1. No requirements.

2. The minimum character length of the .ID domain name is 5 characters. Meanwhile, for other domains, the minimum is 3 characters.

.co.id

1. SIUP, TDP, Akta Notaris, Equivalent Permit.

2. Letter of Proof of Brand or Patent Ownership (if the domain name uses a well-known brand).

3. Valid Republic of Indonesia KTP.

4. Statement letter regarding the connection between the domain name and the company (if the name does not match the company name).

.or.id

1. Akta Notaris or Certificate from the organization concerned.

2. Valid Republic of Indonesia KTP.

3. Statement letter regarding the connection between the domain name and the company (if the name does not match the company name).

.sch.id

1. Certificate from the Principal or Head of the Institution.

2. Valid KTP of the Principal or Head of Institution.

.ac.id

1. Establishment of an Institution from the authorized Ministry/Institution in accordance with Legislative Regulations.

2. Certificate from the Chancellor or Head of the Institution.

3. Valid Republic of Indonesia KTP.

.web.id

No requirements.

.my.id

No requirements.

.ponpes.id

1. Certificate from the Head of the Islamic Boarding School or Head of the Institution Regarding Domain Name Registration.

2. Valid Republic of Indonesia KTP.

.biz.id

1. Valid Republic of Indonesia KTP.

Verification

The document verification process takes up to 1-5 working days. All policies regarding whether or not Indonesian domain registration is approved are entirely in the hands of the registrar appointed by PANDI (Pengelola Nama Domain Internet Indonesia).
